The Puddicombe House History

The Puddicombe House was built in 1868 by Samuel Merner, businessman, Member of Parliament, and Senator.

The house was purchased by Robert B. Puddicombe in 1888 for $4,500.00 and was owned by the Puddicombe family until 1969. At that time it was converted into a six unit apartment building.

In 2006, the house was extensively restored to accommodate a full service restaurant, spa and hair salon as well as a bed and breakfast. The house features impressive Italianate architecture and rich décor. It has 12 foot ceilings with plaster comice molding and painted detail
